I have to see the Jim Carey one again. I think the weirdest aspect was the uncanny valley of The Who’s.

I saw the new one with my kids a few weeks ago. Definitely not as good as the original but I liked it.

The new one is good.
My television starved child(if you asked her) was pretty happy to turn off the Jim Carey one. That’s how bad and weird it is.

The Grinch song in the new one sucks, though.

I think the jokes helped lighten what is otherwise a somewhat dark story. Also I liked the addition of Fred.

Jim Carey Grinch is garbage. I don't understand how people still watch it every year. More surprising still is that its IMDB score is only .3 lower than the new one.

I’m not sure anything will touch the original just for the nostalgia aspect alone. But the new one is certainly an improvement upon the weird-ass Carey Grinch.

I've never been able to sit through the entirety of the Jim Carey one, honestly.

IMDB scores are totally worthless.

Fr ed was fucking great.

It lacked the charm of the old one, but I wouldn’t say it sucked.
Be sides, they had to branch out a little more considering that about 50 different punk rock bands have a cover of that song that are all pretty much the same.

I saw it a long time ago, I just remember being weirded out by the cat noses

We all enjoyed Fred.

I kind of lioe the Jim Carrey grinch. It was a bit gritty (like, he killed a kid) but did a decent job stretching a 10 minute children's book into a full length movie. It still didn't need to be done, just like the 2018 one.

This is the correct take, Along with Huzer comment.
I don’t know why (yes I do, $$$) studios are compelled to turn 40 minute stories into 2 hour movies.

I wish they hadn’t even included it, it felt like it was tacked on. They could have easily just done an entirely new song in the same tone as the original. Im with Huzer, it was a steaming turd on the a movie that was otherwise okay.
